Q+A SESSION

Q: First things first…if someone asked you why you’re a hairstylist, how would you answer?
A: Hairstyling is so creative and there are so many opportunities to grow and learn more. I love that the industry is constantly evolving and every person you encounter is completely different and unique.

Q: Where do you find your inspiration? How do you keep it fresh?
A:  I find my inspiration for hair from Instagram and Pinterest. When I find something I am inspired by I try to recreate it and make it unique to my style.

Q: Animal person? Yes/No? Explain!
A:  Yes! I especially love my dog, Finnley, but I love all animals.

Q: Besides the art of hairstyling, what else do you like to do in your freetime?
A:
In my free time I enjoy crafting and designing. I also love to be outdoors, hiking and snowboarding. My partner, Ben, and I enjoy breweries, eating, and binge watching shows-- e.g. Game of Thrones, The Office, and the news.

Q: Besides the art of hairstyling, what else do you like to do in your freetime?
A:  I had a gentleman who sat in my chair and said, “I want 3.5 inches of length on the sides, 5” on top, and square graduation in the back. Like a cross between a drill sergeant and Leonardo Dicaprio in Titanic.” WHAT?! I immediately knew this guy was going to be very difficult, which he was, and questioned my ability to cut hair multiple times. After working very hard to deliver what he wanted, mid haircut he became very verbal and was then asked to leave the school. And as he was walking out the door he yeld, “Even though it was a good haircut…” and was cut off as the door shut.
