Q: First things first…if someone asked you why you’re a hairstylist, how would you answer?
A: I have always loved hair and makeup, and for a really long time my main focus was art, so eventually it just translated into becoming a stylist. I’m also a caretaker by nature, so I love to be able to really change someone’s confidence with the right color or extensions for them.

Q: Where do you find your inspiration? How do you keep it fresh?
A:  I find inspiration in everything around me, particularly fashion and art. I’m a big vision board person and I like to take pictures of anything and everything for future reference.

Q: Animal person? Yes/No? Explain!
A:  Ever since I was little I’ve loved animals. I would bring home stray dogs and cats all the time. Until I was 10 I wasn’t aloud to enter a puppy store because I would always fall in love with a puppy that I couldn’t have.

Q: Besides the art of hairstyling, what else do you like to do in your freetime?
I spend most of my free time with my puppy and my fiancé. I love to paint and shop too.

Q: Tell us the funniest hair story you have had in your experience.
A:  My best friend since the 3rd grade came to me in beauty school to touch up her highlights, but she wouldn’t let me use bleach, only a high lift color. Well with most high lift colors, you HAVE to let it process for the full alotted time, especially on dark hair like hers to get past the orange stage. So halfway into her processing time she tells me she has to go and I have a mini heart attack. So she walks out with halfway wet, bright orange highlights. We both cried that day. Needless to say I still do her highlights, and we don’t use high lift color on her anymore.
